Waterville, Maine (9/24/22) – The Kean University field hockey team cruised to a 6-0 win over Thomas College on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

#8 Kean (6-1) used a balanced scoring attack that saw six individual Cougars score goals.  Jorja Hibschman started things off in the fifth minute with a strike into the left corner off a pass from Peyton Mann.  The Cougars put the game away in the second quarter with four tallies including markers from Morgan Stump, Mann, Kiera Lyons and Kelsey Corbett.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Mann led the way with one goal and two assists while the Cougar defense limited the Terriers to just four shots overall on the afternoon.  Kean took 30 shots (18 on goal) and was awarded 17 penalty corners.

Kean remains in Maine and will face St. Joseph's College of Maine on Sunday at 1 p.m.
