STANDISH, Maine (9/25/22) – Peyton Mann tied a single game record with four goals as the #8 Kean University field hockey team shutout St. Joseph's-Maine, 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Mann recorded 14 shots for the Cougars who improve to 7-1 overall. Kassidy Collins made 25 saves for the Monks who fall to 6-3 overall.
Kean was held scoreless until Mann tallied her first goal just before halftime with a score in the 29
th minute.
In the second half, Mann scored three times including one in the third and two in a span of 25 seconds in the fourth.
Mann becomes the eighth Cougar in program history to notch four goals in a game, joining Jenna Patrone, Korri Thompson, Brittany Gibbs, Olivia Triano, Vicki Egerer, Deanna Thomas and Patrice DiFabio. Patrone posted the most recently four goal game during a 5-3 victory over William Paterson on Oct. 26
th, 2018.
Mann also caps off an unbelievable week with 18 points on eight goals and two assists over three contests.
Ja'Carra Jackson tallied nine shots, while
Jorja Hibschman and
Kiera Lyons recorded four apiece.
Jenna Flemings,
Belly Reynoso and
Azure Jones combined for one save in 60 minutes of work.
Kean dominated on shots (42-2), shots on goal (29-1) and penalty corners (12-2).
