UNION, N.J. (1/25/23) – Jailen Jamison notched 20 points and four steals as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to Ramapo College, 76-63 on Wednesday evening.
Five starters scored in double figures for the Roadrunners who improve to 8-11 overall and 4-8 in the NJAC.
Letrell West tallied 15 points and six rebounds for the Cougars who fall to 14-5 overall and 7-5 in the NJAC.
Ramapo torched the nets in the first half with a 53.3% from the floor and a 75.0% from downtown to open a sizeable lead at halftime. Kean was held to 32.3% shooting from the floor and 15.4% shooting from behind the arc as the Roadrunners closed the half on a 23-8 run over the final six minutes to push their lead to 46-26 at intermission.
In the second half, Kean couldn't get the deficit inside single digits as the Roadrunners shot 52.2% from the floor. Jamison collected 13 points as the Cougars were able to bring the lead down to 11 with one-minute remaining.
Griffin Barker totaled eight points and eight rebounds, while
Corey Thelisme and
D.J. Alicea both notched six apiece.
