UNION, N.J. (10/3/23) – Madison Brege scored twice as the #11 Kean University field hockey team (7-2, 1-0 NJAC) blanked Montclair State University, 4-0 (4-8, 0-1 NJAC) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• The Cougars notched two goals in the opening 10 minutes.
• Brege scored off a keeper save in the fourth minute and Peyton Mann scored on a breakaway in the 10^th minute.
• Montclair State was held to just two shots in the opening stanza.
• Brege added her second goal of the evening in identical fashion as the rookie scored off a keeper save in the 33^rd minute.
• Kean added another goal in the fourth when Maddison Gonzales tapped in a Morgan Stump shot during a corner situation.
