Union, N.J. (12/30/23) – The Kean University men's basketball team led wire-to-wire in a non-conference win over Anna Maria College by the final of 93-63.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (7-6) jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first two and a half minutes behind five points from Brandon Upshaw. Kean led by as many as 23 in the first 20 minutes, pouring in 54 points in the first half.
It was more of the same in the second half, as 14 players saw action for the Cougars. Kean's largest advantage was 37 points (86-49) as Ethan Stith converted two free throws.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Upshaw led all players with 21 points. D.J. Alicea registered a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while also adding four assists in 24 minutes of action. Stith recorded 15 points off the bench.
Sean Zabari led the Amcats (5-8) with 12 points.
