UNION, N.J. (2/17/23) – Stephen Reynolds totaled 11 kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team dropped their Continental Volleyball Conference opener with a 3-1 loss to #15 Marymount University on Friday evening.
Esteban Jauregui tallied 14 kills for the Saints who improve to 9-4 overall and 2-1 in the CVC.
Chris Mitchell collected 11 kills for the Cougars who fall to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in the CVC.
First Set
- Marymount won, 25-19.
- The Saints posted a .333 hitting percentage.

- Marymount opened on a 8-2 run, before the Cougars responded with a 10-3 run to cut the deficit to 15-13.

- Kean maintained a four-point lead through the set and were in the driver's seat at 22-17.
- Marymount made a late surge, but faulted on set point with a service error.

- Marymount won 25-17.
- The Saints posted a .371 hitting percentage.
- Kean was held to a .034 hitting percentage.
- Marymount pulled away to take the match with a 12-2 mid set run.
