UNION, N.J. (2/8/23) – Rajheem Meulens totaled nine kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 straight-sets sweep of Drew University on Wednesday evening.
Aidan Flinn tallied 10 digs and seven kills for the Cougars who improve to 2-3 overall. Jacob Sledz totaled seven kills for the Rangers who fall to 4-4 overall.
Set One
- Kean posted a .179-hitting percentage.
- Drew posted a .065 hitting percentage.
- The Cougars opened with a 7-3 run before the Rangers responded with a 9-5 run to even the set at 12-12.
- Drew extended their lead to 19-16 with a 5-1 run before Kean closed out a 9-3 run.

- Mitchell and Flinn each tallied two kills apiece over the final eight points of the set.

- Ortega-Reyes totaled four kills for the Rangers.
Set Three
- Kean hit a match-high .269.
- Drew posted a match low .032.
- The Cougars jumped out to a 13-6 lead behind two aces and a kill from Jack Freese.
- Kean remained in the driver's seat for the rest of the set as Flinn tallied match point.
- Freese totaled three kills, while Danny Pugliano and Meulens both notched two kills apiece.
- Sledz added two more to his total for Drew.
