Men’s Lacrosse Extends Unbeaten Streak to Six Games with Victory over Oberlin

UNION, N.J. (3/18/23) – Connor Batjer totaled seven points on five assists and two goals as the Kean University men's lacrosse team extended their unbeaten streak to six games with an 16-11 victory over Oberlin College on Saturday.

Dylan Johnson tallied four points on four goals for the Cougars who improve to 6-0 overall. Solomon Brennan and Jacob Starcke both notched four goals apiece for the Yeomen who fall to 4-2 overall.

First Half
  • Kean and Oberlin traded goals throughout as the Cougars held multiple two goal advantages.
  • Kean tallied three goals in the final three minutes; including two from Tommy Pellegrino to take a 9-6 lead into halftime.
  • Johnson notched three goals, including one with 90 seconds remaining.
  • Max Stevens went 14-for-17 with six groundballs from the X.
  • Devin Reppert made seven saves.
Second Half
  • The Cougars broke the game open in the third with a 6-1 run.
  • Johnson, Hunter Jenkinson, Batjer, Anthony Porter, Cormac McCabe and Nick Thorne all scored for Kean as the Cougars led 15-7 entering the fourth.
  • Oberlin closed the gap with four goals in the final quarter.
  • Thorne notched the lone goal in the fourth.
