UNION, N.J. (3/20/23) – Head Coach Shelley Sheiner moves into a tie with his mentor Hawley Waterman for the winningest coach in program history at 207 wins as the Kean University men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten with a 20-4 victory over Delaware Valley University on Monday evening.

Connor Batjer totaled six points on three goals and three assists for the Cougars who improve to 7-0 overall. Kieran Schneider notched two points on one goal and one assist for the Aggies who fall to 3-4 overall.

First Half

• The Cougars jumped out to a 7-1 lead, including four unanswered to start.
• Kean lead 35-13 on shots, including 24-10 on frame.
• Eight different Cougars tallied a goal as Kean maintained a 9-2 advantage at the half.
• Batjer scored twice, while Nick Thorne, Tommy Hamtil, Dante Magliano, Cormac McCabe, Anton Updale, Steven Thorne and Hunter Jenkinson all scored.
• Anthony Porter and Nick Thorne both recorded two assists apiece.
• Max Stevens went 7-for-10 at the X.
• Steven Thorne also collected eight groundballs and three caused turnovers.

Second Half

• Kean stretched their lead to 10, behind two more goals from Hamtil.
• The Cougars tallied six straight in the third and six straight in the fourth.
• Christian Schlaefer, Porter, Jonathan Slusser, Jackson Earley, Tyler Scott and Trevor Foss all scored.
• Kean hit the 20-goal mark for the fifth time this season when Jake Cirminiello connected with Foss for the final goal of the evening.

Inside the Box

• Nick Thorne totaled four points on three assists and one goal.
• Hamtil finished with four points on three goals and one assist.
• Porter totaled three points on two assists and one goal.
• McCabe finished with three points on two goals and one assist.
• Stevens went 13-for-19 with three groundballs.
• Steven Thorne totaled 12 groundballs, four caused turnovers, and scored a goal.
• Porter tallied six groundballs and a caused turnover.
• Tyler Nolan posted two groundballs and two caused turnovers.
• Devin Reppert and Femi Fadipe combined for 12 saves.
