NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (4/29/23) – Connor Batjer notched three points on two goals and one assist as the Kean University men's lacrosse team dropped a Coastal Lacrosse Conference contest to #4 Christopher Newport University, 20-5 on Saturday afternoon.
Drew Miller and Coby Auslander both tallied six points apiece for the Captains who improve to 15-1 overall and 4-1 in the CLC.

Jackson Earley all posted one point apiece for the Cougars who fall to 10-6 overall and 0-4 in the CLC.
First Half
- Batjer and Porter scored goals between two separate four goal runs as CNU jumped out to an 8-2 lead.
- The Captains added back-to-back goals late for a 10-2 advantage at the half.
Second Half
- Kean opened the scoring in the second half when Batjer connected with Thorne.
- CNU rattled off 10 straight for a 20-3 lead
- Batjer and Slusser scored back-to-back goals late which capped off the scoring on the afternoon.
