EWING, N.J. (5/6/23) – The fifth seeded Kean University softball team was held to just three hits in a 3-0 loss to second seeded The College of New Jersey in the opening game of the New Jersey Athletic Conference softball tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Kaci Neveling finished 2-for-3 with one run scored for the Lions who improve to 26-9 overall.

Andee Perseponko each notched a hit for the Cougars who fall to 26-15 overall.
How It Happened
- The Lions notched two runs in the third with one coming home on a throwing error.
- TCNJ added an insurance run in the fourth when a second run crossed the plate on another throwing error.
- The Lions pitching staff combined for 10 strikeouts.
