UNION, N.J. (9/1/23) – Nico Ibanez scored and assisted on a goal as the Kean University men's soccer team (1-0) earned a 2-1 victory over USMMA (0-1) in their season opener on Friday evening.
How It Happened

• Ibanez converted on a penalty kick in the 30^th minute after the Mariners committed a handball in the box during an Ivan Garcia shot attempted.
• East tallied the second goal of the first half with a score at the near post.  
• East scored on an Ibanez and Sekou Soumahoro double assist in the 42^nd minute.
• USMMA converted a rebound shot off the crossbar in the 72^nd minute.
• Michael Hofstetter tallied the lone goal for Kings Point.
