WINCHESTER, Va. (9/30/23) – Morgan Stump assisted on two goals as the #11 Kean University field hockey team (6-2) dropped a non-conference contest to #7 Christopher Newport University (9-0) at Shenandoah University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• CNU scored back-to-back goals in the opening five minutes.
• Kean answered in the 24^th minute when Madison Brege scored her first career goal off a Stump feed during a corner situation.
• The Captains took a 3-1 lead into the fourth with a goal in the 38^th minute.
• Stump assisted on her second goal of the afternoon with a long ball into the circle for Kelsey Lowden who also notched her first career goal as a Cougar.   

INSIDE THE BOX

• Brege, Laura Stump and Jorja Hibschman all posted three shots apiece.
• Stump, Kelsey Corbett and Peyton Mann all tallied two shots apiece.
• Jenna Flemings made nine saves.
