MAHWAH, N.J. (1/24/24) –A big first half propelled the Kean University men's basketball team to a 73-56 victory and a season series split with Ramapo College on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• Kean opened on a 26-8 run behind seven points from Brandon Upshaw.
• The Roadrunners were held scoreless for the first seven minutes of the contest.
• Ramapo outscored the Cougars over the final eight minutes as Kean maintained a comfortable 39-22 advantage at the half
• Kean held the lead for the rest of the game as Ramapo couldn't get the lead below nine at any point in the second stanza.
• D.J. Alicea and Upshaw combined for 17 points in an even second half.
• Peter Gorman shouldered the Ramapo scoring in the second with 17 points.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Upshaw posted 17 points and seven assists.
• Alicea totaled 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
• Justin Morton notched 13 points.
• Ethan Stith totaled 11 points.
• Mario Gunn grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds.
