Union, N.J. (1/31/24) – The Kean University women's basketball suffered their second straight NJAC loss to host The College of New Jersey by the final of 68-57.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The game featured a combined 12 lead changes or ties with Kean (13-8, 10-4 NJAC) holding a slight 36-34 lead at the intermission.
The matchup was decided in the final 10 minutes as TCNJ (14-7, 11-3 NJAC) outscored the Cougars, 21-8, in the final stanza.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Shahd Badeer and Riley Ahrens each had a double-double. Badeer posted a game-high 13 rebounds along with 14 points while Ahrens registered a game-high 15 points along with a career-high 11 rebounds (all defensive).
Maya Edwards recorded 10 points to round out the double digit scoring.
