Glassboro, N.J. (2/3/24) – The Kean University women's basketball team dropped a 74-65 decision to host Rowan University on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The contest featured nine ties and six lead changes.
Kean (13-9, 10-5 NJAC) held a slim 41-39 advantage at the break.
Rowan (11-11, 8-7 NJAC) broke through in the third quarter, outscoring the Cougars, 18-10, to take the lead for good.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Gigi Gamble led all players with 21 points, including 18 in the first half.
Shahd Badeer posted a double-double 15 points and 16 rebounds while adding three blocks.
Maya Edwards rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11 points.
Rookie Riley Ahrens registered seven points and 10 rebounds along with three steals.

Kean returns home for two straight next week and will face Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
