Union, N.J. (2/7/24) – Senior Brittany Graff recorded her 1,000th career point as the Kean University women's basketball team recorded their second highest point total in program history with a 120-49 win over Rutgers-Camden.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (14-9, 11-5 NJAC) raced out to a 17-0 lead.
Needing 20 points heading into the contest, Graff registered 18 in the first 10 minutes. With Kean's first possession of the second quarter, Graff drained a three from the top of the key to send her over the threshold. She became the 22nd person in program history to reach the milestone.
Kean led by as many as 37 in the period and headed into the break ahead, 56-24.
The Cougars coasted the rest of the way as 13 Cougars saw action in the contest, with every player recording at least 2 points.
Of note in the history book, Kean scored 110 points against Rutgers-Camden exactly 37 years to the day. The Cougars last hit the 110 mark in 2007 against John Jay College.
