Galloway, N.J. (10/8/24) – Kean University suffered a 3-0 defeat to Stockton University in NJAC women's volleyball action on Tuesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Trailing by one late in the first set (17-16), the Ospreys went on a 6-0 run which the Cougars were unable to overcome.
Stockton (12-3, 3-1 NJAC) never trailed in the second frame, using short bursts to go ahead, 2-0.
Kean (9-9, 1-2 NJAC) battled in the third set and led on several occasions. Tied at 20-all Stockton recorded five of the next six points to earn the straight set victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Anne Marie Beckemeyer led Kean with 12 kills and 17.5 points. She hit .316 and added two aces and three solo blocks.
Cayley Elena Morrison tallied eight kills while hitting .313 and accounted for 9.5 points.

Kean travels to Hunter College for non-conference action on Saturday.
