Glassboro, N.J. (11/9/24) – The Kean University football team dropped a 42-14 decision to host Rowan University on Saturday afternoon in NJAC action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Profs (5-4, 3-2 NJAC) jumped out to a 28-0 lead after the first 15 minutes, with two rushing touchdowns, one in the air and an interception return.
Later in the fourth the Cougars got on the board with back-to-back touchdowns. Sal Marchione gave Kean their first points of the day on a seven-yard reception from Rocco Pellegrini. The Cougars used 15 plays and 83 yards during the drive.
On the very next possession for the Profs, Chris Amos scooped up a fumble and returned it 96 yards for the recovery touchdown.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Meir Pittman led the defense with 12 tackles, one and a half for a loss.
Amos added six tackles, one for a loss, two breakups and a hurry.
Christian Bujno had six catches for 75 yards on the day.

Kean returns home to face Salisbury University on Senior Day next Saturday.
