JERSEY CITY, N.J. (12/14/24) – Four players scored in double figures as the Kean University men's basketball team earned a New Jersey Athletic Conference victory over New Jersey City University, 79-73 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• The Gothic Knights opened on a 12-3 run over the first three and a half minutes.
• The Cougars responded with a 19-8 run to take their first lead of the game at 22-20 courtesy of a Justin Morton three-point play.
• Adam Silas notched seven points during the Cougars run.
• Morton tallied 12 points over the final six minutes as the Cougars took a 38-31 lead into halftime.
• Morton added another seven points to open the half as Kean extended their halftime lead to double-digits.
• NJCU put together an 18-9 run to erase Kean's lead and even everything at 59 with just under six minutes to play.
• Andrew Turco and Silas combined for 16 points down the stretch as Kean pulled away for the six-point victory.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Morton finished with 23 points.
• Turco totaled 18 points and knocked down four triples.
• Silas notched 17 points.
• Phil Brown Jr. recorded nine points and eight rebounds.
