POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (2/10/24) – Jack Freese totaled a career-high 18 kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest to #6 Vassar College, 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!

• After dropping the first two sets, Kean captured set three with a 25-22 score.
• Freese notched seven kills on 11 swings in the victory.
• The sophomore middle hit .455 in that set as the Cougars posted a .286 percentage.
• Kean maintained a three-point advantage throughout, before pushing their lead to six on kills by Freese and Aidan Flinn.
• Vassar pulled the lead down to three again before back-to-back kills from Freese and Ryan DiCandilo closed it out.
• Freese added another six kills in a set four loss that saw Kean hit negative.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Luke Frankenfield posted 26 assists, six kills and eight digs.
• DiCandilo and Rajheem Meulens each notched five kills apiece.
• David Flores handed out 10 assists.
• Tyler Quinn collected nine digs.
