GALLOWAY, N.J. (2/14/24) – Justin Morton scored 31 points as the Kean University men's basketball team spoiled the Stockton University senior night and secured the final playoff seed with a 72-56 victory over the Ospreys on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!

• Morton carried the offense in the first half, scoring all 15 of his points over the final 12 minutes.
• Kean held a three-point lead with seven minutes to play before Morton scored 10 points during a 15-6 run that pushed the lead to 32-22 at the half.
• The Cougars continued where they left off in the second half, extending their advantage to 20 points at 52-32 behind nine points apiece from Morton and nine from D.J. Alicea.
• Morton cooled off a bit in the second stanza, but cracked the 30-point plateau with a layup at the 4:34 mark.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Morton knocked down five triples.
• Alicea totaled 14 points.
• Ethan Stith notched 10 points and eight assists.
• JD Daniels finished with six points and two steals.
• Tyler Spencer posted six points and seven boards.

• The Cougars earned the final seed after Rutgers-Camden and Rutgers-Newark both suffered losses on Wednesday, which vaulted Kean into the NJAC Tournament.
