UNION, N.J. (2/28/24) – 16 Cougars tallied a point as the Kean University men's lacrosse team turned out the lights on FDU-Florham in a dominating 22-1 home opening victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- Kean dominated the Devils from the opening faceoff with 18 unanswered goals in the first half.
- Anthony Porter notched six points, while Nick Thorne collected four as the Cougars outshot FDU, 37-7.
- Thorne and Connor Batjer both posted hat-tricks, while Porter, Johnson, Aarin Arbore, Jonathan Slusser, and Brandon Stuart all recorded two goals apiece.
- The Devils broke their scoring drought with a goal to open the second stanza.
- Aaron Boccio, Slusser, Troy Christiano, and Oliver Lugo all notched second half goals.
- A power outage across Kean's main campus forced the cancellation of the final 12:36 of the contest. The NCAA recognizes an official game after three quarters have been completed.
