UNION, N.J. (2/3/24) – The Kean University men's volleyball team split matches with #16 Messiah College and Stevenson University on the final day of the Clash at Kean.

Kean 3, #16 Messiah 0

• Line Score: 25-23, 25-23, 25-20
• The Cougars hit .244 in a match that had 27 ties and seven lead changes.
• Kean proved to be more efficient with the ball posting 29 kills on just 78 swings, compared to 44 kills on 101 swings for Messiah.
• The Falcons had three players with double-digits kills.
• Jack Freese and Chris Mitchell totaled seven kills apiece.
• Luke Frankenfield totaled 12 assists, four kills and six digs.
• Aidan Flinn, Danny Pugliano and Ryan DiCandilo all notched three kills apiece.
• David Flores handed out 11 assists.
• The victory is Head Coach Bez Arslani first career victory over a ranked opponent since taking over the program in 2022.

Stevenson 3, Kean 1

• Line Score: 22-25, 25-16, 26-28, 15-25
• Kean hit .201 in a loss that saw 31 ties and 16 lead changes.
• Tim Flangan posted a match-high 26 kills as Stevenson just overpowered Kean.
• The Cougars lone set victory came in second stanza as Kean held Flangan to just three kills and hit .265.
• The Mustangs captured both remaining sets, including hitting .366 in their set three victory.
• Freese and Flinn both totaled 11 kills apiece.
• Frankenfield totaled nine kills, 26 assists, eight digs, three blocks assists and two aces.
• Mitchell posted seven kills and seven digs.
• Flores handed out 17 assists.
• Tyler Quinn collected 14 digs.
