UNION, N.J. (3/16/24) – Dylan Johnson and
Nick Thorne combined for eight points on eight goals as the Kean University men's lacrosse team earned a 14-9 non-conference victory over SUNY Oneonta on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- Thorne scored twice in the first quarter as Kean held an early 3-1 advantage.
- The Red Dragons scored twice in the final four minutes to even the contest at 3-3.
- The Cougars notched the first three goals of the second which extended their lead to 6-3.
- Oneonta posted back-to-back goals, which cut Kean's advantage to 6-5 at halftime.
- The second stanza turned into a back and forth affair as the Red Dragons cut the deficit to one on multiple occasions.
- Kean tallied four goals over the final six minutes to pull away late.
