UNION, N.J. (3/22/24) – Connor Batjer totaled seven points on six assists and one goal, including notching his 200
th career point as the Kean University men's lacrosse team rolled to a 24-8 victory over Southwestern University on Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- The Cougars notched 10 straight goals over 25 shots in a dominating first quarter.
- Nick Thorne, Dylan Johnson and Cormac McCabe all tallied two goals piece in the opening stanza.
- Batjer posted his 200th point when the senior connected with McCabe for a score at the 5:22 mark.
- Thorne tallied a hat-trick in the second, along with goals from Jacob Dvoor and Anton Updale as Kean led 16-3 at the break.
- The third quarter saw the Pirates notch four goals, but Kean hit the 20 goal mark behind scores from Johnson, Thorne, Anthony Porter and Tommy Hamtil.
- Trevor Foss scored twice in the fourth, along with a score from Giancarlo DeFilippis.
