COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (3/27/24) – Nick Thorne notched five goals, including the game-winner with 69 seconds remaining as the Kean University men's lacrosse team pushed their winning streak to four games with an 11-10 defeat of Ursinus College on Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- Thorne scored twice, including the go-ahead goal with 4:19 in the second to give the Cougars a 4-3 halftime advantage.
- Jacob Dvoor and Anthony Porter also scored for Kean in a balanced first half.
- After the Bears regained the lead to open the second half, Kean notched four straight goals to take an 8-5 lead into the fourth.
- Anton Updale scored twice along with goals from Connor Batjer and Thorne.
- Ursinus opened the fourth with four straight of their own and the Bears regained the lead again at 9-8.
- Kean closed with three of the final four goals, including the game equalizer from Dylan Johnson and the game-winner from Thorne.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Porter totaled three points, while Batjer, Johnson and Updale posted two points apiece.
- Dvoor finished 11-for-21 at the X with seven groundballs.
- Hunter Jenkinson collected three groundballs and two caused turnovers.
