GALLOWAY, N.J. (4/5/24) – Kylie Giordano totaled five points on four goals and one assist as the Kean University women's lacrosse team dropped their New Jersey Athletic Conference opener to unbeaten Stockton University, 17-13 on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED!
- Shannon Palen assisted on both Cougar goals in the opening stanza as Kean found themselves in a 6-2 deficit entering the second quarter.
- After trading goals to start the second, Stockton notched five of the seven final goals of the half to push their lead to 13-6 at the halftime.
- Giordano scored the lone goal of the third as the Ospreys kept their lead at nine entering the fourth.
- Kean made a furious run in the fourth with six straight goals which cut their deficit to 16-13 with three minutes remaining.
- Giordano notched a hat-trick plus and an assist during the Cougars run.
- Kean was held scoreless for the final three minutes.
