UNION, N.J. (1/17/25) – The Kean University men's volleyball team dropped a straight sets sweep to #6 Vassar (3-0) and fell in a five set thriller to #9 Wentworth (3-2) on the opening day of the Clash at Kean.

#6 Vassar 3, Kean 0

• The Cougars were out gunned by the national runner up Vassar Brewers, falling in straight sets.
• Vassar hit .389 for the match while Kean only posted a .013.
• The Cougars had a chance to steal one in the third, but costly service errors left the door open for the Brewers.
• Chris Mitchell posted six kills
• David Flores handed out 17 assists.
• Tyler Quinn collected nine digs.

#9 Wentworth 3, Kean 2

• The Cougars gave everything they had in a five-set loss to a national quarterfinalist.
• After dropping the opening set in extra volleyball, the Cougars captured the next two sets including posting a .364 hitting percentage in the set three victory.
• Wentworth took the fourth set after Kean hit negative
• The deciding set proved to be a back-and-forth affair for the first eight points.
• The Leopards were close out the match on a 7-2 run
• Mitchell finished with a career-high 21 kills
• Brandon Millias posted 48 assists and 10 digs,
• Aidan Flinn recorded 11 kills and 11 digs
