Ewing, N.J. (1/25/25) – The Kean University women's basketball team suffered a 75-62 loss at host The College of New Jersey on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lions (13-5, 9-2 NJAC) led wire-to-wire and used a strong first quarter to push out to a double-digit lead (25-13).
Kean ended the first half with a 6-0 run to pull the deficit back down to double-digits (41-35).
The Cougars (8-10, 5-6 NJAC) pulled within five twice in the final quarter, the last time with five minutes to go. TCNJ then used a six-point spurt over the course of the next three minutes to add cushion on their way to winning their second straight.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Brittany Graff led three Cougars in double figures, finishing with 15 points.
Maddison Vaughn recorded a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Erika Mercedes was one shy with 14 points and nine rebounds.
