Late Run Lifts Men’s Basketball Past Ramapo

UNION, N.J. (1/29/25) – Four players finished in double figures as the Kean University men's basketball team used a late second half run to defeat Ramapo College, 73-63 on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • Kean opened on a 13-7 run, including two triples from Andrew Turco and a dunk from Adam Silas.
  • The rest of the half was a back-and-forth affair as Ramapo tallied back-to-back scores for a 30-24 lead with 2:43 remaining.
  • D.J. Alicea hit four free throws to cut the lead to 30-28, before a Peter Gorman triple at the buzzer gave the Roadrunners a 33-28 halftime advantage.
  • The second stanza saw Gorman with the hot hand for Ramapo as they held the momentum and a seven-point lead at 58-51 with 9:35 remaining.
  • The momentum swung back in favor of the Cougars as a Gorman technical and a Justin Bladen personal gave Kean a six-point swing to even the game at 58-58.
  • Kean closed the contest on a 22-5 run, including going 13-for-15 from the charity stripe.
  • Alicea notched 10 points during the run.
