Salisbury, Md. (11/23/25) – The Kean University women's basketball team fell to Immaculata University by the final of 72-50 in the Governors Challenge.

The Cougars took an early 5-0 lead, but the Mighty Macs surged to end the quarter and pushed out to a double-digit lead (24-11).

Both teams battled, but that same double-digit remained at the break (39-24).

Immaculata took their largest lead of the day in the third quarter on a free throw (one of 38 attempts on the day), 55-30.

Maya Edwards led the Cougars with 12 points, while Cara McCoy had eight points, six rebounds and four steals.

Kean will face Lehman College at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
