Salisbury, Md. (11/23/25) – The Kean University women's basketball team fell to Lehman College by the final of 70-59 in the Governors Challenge.
After falling into a 7-0 deficit early, the Cougars responded and took the lead with 3:46 to go in the first quarter on a layup from Adriana Misciagna. Kean pushed their advantage out to nine (20-11) late in the first period.
Lehman chipped away and retook the lead for good in the second stanza. The Cougars kept things close in the third quarter, but the Lightning were able to pull away in the final 10 minutes.
Erika Mercedes led Kean with 25 points. She added eight rebounds. Maya Edwards recorded 11 points and Misciagna chipped in with 10.
Kean will face Stockton University on Tuesday in their home and conference opener.
