Union, N.J. (11/8/25) – The Kean University women's volleyball team improved to 27-5 with two wins in the regular season finale on Saturday.
Kean 3, Sarah Lawrence College 1 (25-11, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars cruised through the first two sets, but hit a speed bump in the third as the Gryphons turned an 11-9 deficit into a 14-11 lead. Kean tied things up at 15-all and later pulled within one (20-19 and 24-23), but Sarah Lawrence recorded key kills to force a fourth set.
Tied at four-all the Cougars rolled off eight straight points to get a cushion they would not relinquish.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Aubre Adams led Kean with nine kills (.571) while Madison Hopkins had seven (.500). Cayley Elena Morrison, Ashley Torok and Bella Stem all had six kills. Torok registered four aces while Morrison added four blocks.
Kean 3, City College of New York 0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-16)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After an early see-saw battle the Cougars used a 10-1 run to push out to a comfortable lead in the opening set of the nightcap. The Beavers kept things close in the second set but Kean was able to use short spurts to go ahead, 2-0.
Kean led from start to finish in the final set, scoring seven of the last eight points to close out the day.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Stem led the Cougars with eight kills (.571) while Alison Kowalewski and Hopkins each had six.

Kean will host NJAC semifinal action on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
