Glassboro, N.J. (2/5/25) – Rowan University jumped out to an early lead they would not relinquish on their way to defeating the Kean University women's basketball team by the final of 64-47.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Profs (14-7, 10-4 NJAC) raced out to an 11-0 lead in the first two minutes of action.
The Cougars (10-11, 7-7 NJAC) chipped away and closed the deficit to just two (23-21) with three and a half minutes to go in the second quarter on two points from Brooke Sztenderowicz at the charity stripe. Rowan responded with back-to-back treys to take an eight-point advantage into the break.
The Profs pushed their lead out to double-digits midway through the third quarter and were able to hold that lead down the stretch.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
In limited action, Maddison Vaughn had a team-high 10 points and eight rebounds.

Kean travels to Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon.
