Hanover, Md. (3/11/25) – The Kean University baseball team suffered their second loss of the season, a 17-8 defeat at Catholic University on Tuesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first, highlighted by a bases-loaded walk from John Chiusano and a two RBI single from Dominic Masino.
The Cardinals (6-4) cut into the early deficit with three runs in the same inning with an RBI double and a two RBI single.
Kean pushed ahead 8-3 in the second as Chiusano, Brett HIlsheimer and Dan Reistle all collected RBI.
Trailing 8-6, the hosts took the lead, one they would not relinquish, in the third with a three run blast.
Catholic continued their offensive surge, adding runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh for what would be the final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Justin Teixeira was 3-for-5 while Masino was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
