BUENA VISTA, Va. (3/22/25) – Chris Mitchell finished with 15 kills and eight digs as the Kean University men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 straight sets sweep over Virginia Wesleyan University at Southern Virginia University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• Mitchell notched five kills as Kean posted a .346 hitting percentage in the 25-18 set one victory.
• Mitchell and Danny Pugliano combined for 10 kills as the Cougars needed extra points to defeat the Marlins in set two.
• The Cougars held a 24-20 lead late, before VWU earned four straight points to even the set at 24-24.
• The Marlins would miss a serve and commit an attacking error to close the set.
• Mitchell added another five kills as Kean tallied a late 5-0 run to take the set and match.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Pugliano totaled 10 kills.
• Aidan Flinn posted seven kills and seven digs.
• David Flores recorded 37 assists and 10 digs.
• Tyler Quinn collected 15 digs.
