Rocky Mount, N.C. (3/9/25) – The Kean University baseball team swept the series with host North Carolina Wesleyan winning by a 4-3 margin on Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Cal Chase put the Cougars on the board with a sac fly in the first inning.
CJ Tomalavage made it 3-0 in the third with a two RBI double and later came around to score on a balk as Kean took a 4-0 lead.
North Carolina Wesleyan erased the shutout in the sixth with a solo homer and cut the deficit in half with a sac fly in the seventh.
An RBI single pulled NCWU within one in the bottom of the ninth, but Jason Basilicata was able to work out of the jam and pick up his second save of the week and fourth of the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Connor Ramsey earned the win after tossing five innings and allowing just one run and five hits. He walked three and struck out three.
Basilicata recorded a save with two and two thirds innings of relief work. He allowed one run and four hits with three strikeouts and one walk.

Kean continues their spring break trip and will face Catholic University on Tuesday.
