GREENSBORO, N.C. (7/23/25) - The Kean University baseball team has earned a Sports Attack/ American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2024-25 school year.

Founded after the 2015-16 school year, the Cougars were one of 440 collegiate programs overall and one of 167 programs from Division III to be honored. Coaches nominated their teams based on the following criteria: Must be a high school or college team, the Head Coach must be a current ABCA member, Teams must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.

Kean collected their sixth team academic award after first being selected in '17-'18.
