MAHWAH, N.J. (1/28/26) – Daniel Dextraze finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to the Ramapo College Roadrunners, 65-64 on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• Dextraze scored six of his eight first half points as the Cougars held their largest lead of the half at 13-8.
• The Roadrunners responded with a 20-8 run over the next 11 minutes for a double-figure lead at 28-18.
• Braelen Crump knocked down a triple before halftime as the Cougars trailed 34-27 entering the locker room.
• Kean opened the second half with a 7-2 run, which cut the deficit to 36-34.
• The Roadrunners answered with a 26-15 run that extended their lead to the largest of the game at 62-49 with 6:22 remaining.
• Elijah Barlow poured in 10 points during the run for Ramapo.
• Kean almost pulled off a comeback in the final six minutes, as the Cougars used a 15-6 run to cut the lead to 65-64 with nine seconds remaining.
• Kean had a chance to win late after a Ramapo missed free-throw, but Dextraze committed a turnover as time expired.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Kareem Irby totaled 14 points and hit four triples.
• Malachi Jeffers-Viera and Crump both finished with nine points apiece.
