UNION, N.J. (1/31/26) – Chris Mitchell combined for 39 kills over two matches as the Kean University men's volleyball team dropped matches to #4 Messiah College and #6 Stevens Institute of Technology on the second day of the Clash at Kean.

#4 Messiah 3, Kean 2

• Mitchell notched a career-high 27 kills in a five set thriller with the Falcons.
• The senior combined for 14 kills as Messiah captured the first two sets.
• The Cougars bounced back with victories in sets three and four.
• Mitchell posted six kills in the set four victory that saw Kean hit .312.
• The Falcons took the final set, holding the Cougars to a .045 hitting percentage.
• David Flores handed out 52 assists.
• Aidan Flinn collected 22 digs.

#6 Stevens 3, Kean 1

• Flinn and Mitchell combined for 27 kills in a four set loss to the Ducks.
• Stevens dominated the first two sets with a .538 percentage in the first, while holding Kean to a -.238 hitting percentage in the second
• Flinn and Mitchell totaled 14 kills in the 32-30 set three victory that saw 14 ties and five lead changes.
• Flinn added seven kills as the Cougars came up a bit short in the set four loss.
