Union, N.J. (2/4/26) – The Kean University women's basketball team fell to visiting Rowan University, 70-40 on Wednesday evening.

Both teams battled in the first quarter, as the Profs led by just two after the first 10 minutes.  Rowan pushed out to a double-digit lead they would not relinquish in the second stanza.

Maya Edwards led the Cougars with 16 points while playing all 40 minutes.  She added four rebounds and three steals.  Cara McCoy finished with eight points and eight rebounds with three steals.

The Profs had three players finish in double figures as 13 players saw action in the contest.

Kean will host Rutgers-Camden on Saturday at 3 p.m.
