San Antonio, Texas (3/9/26) – Lucas White fanned nine in seven innings and the Cougars homered twice to top #1 Trinity University, 8-3, picking up the rubber game of the series.

#7 Kean (7-3-1) fell into an early 2-0 hole in the first as Sawyer Haynes homered down the right field line.

The Cougars evened things up in the third as Michael Simone collected an RBI single and Tyler Stone followed with an RBI double.

The score would remain that way until the seventh when Kean exploded for six runs.  After back-to-back walks to start the frame, Justin Teixeira gave Kean the lead for good with a three run homer.  Simone followed with a single and one pitch later Jude Clough lined a homer of his own to give Kean a 7-2 lead. Brett Hilsheimer rounded out the frame with an RBI groundout.

Simone was 3-for-5 with two runs scored while Teixeira was 2-for-5 with three RBI.

On the mound, White tossed seven innings allowing two runs and four hits.  He fanned nine and walked one.

Kean faces off against Southwestern in a neutral site game at 4 p.m. local time.
