Two Records Broken as Men’s Track & Field Competes on Opening Day of NJAC Championships

MAHWAH, N.J. (5/2/26) – Two school records were broken as the Kean University men's track and field team competed on the Opening Day of the NJAC Championships hosted by Ramapo College on Saturday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Ángel David Alarcón Jordán placed 10th in the 10,000 m (35:37.46).
  • Jordan also placed ninth in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:30.10).
  • Dave Louis placed eighth and helped Kean earn a point in the Hammer Throw (42.45m.)
RECORD UPDATE
  • Louis set a new school record in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 42.45 meters.
  • He broke teammate Justin McDougald record of 39.57, set at the Rider Invite.  
  • Jordan also set a new school record in the 10,000m with a time of 35:37.46.
  • He broke his own record of 36:05.06, set at the Ramapo Invite.

  • Kean returns to the Championships for Day Two tomorrow.
