One Record Broken as Women’s Track & Field Competes on Opening Day of NJAC Championships

MAHWAH, N.J. (5/2/26) – One school record was broken as the Kean University women's track and field team competed on the Opening Day of the NJAC Championships hosted by Ramapo College on Saturday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Alina Chant placed ninth in the 10,000 m (42:49.48).
  • Alyssa Seeley finished eighth and earned the Cougars a point in the 3000M Steeple Chase (13:36.78).
  • Ruby Crowell took 10th in the Javelin Throw (29.47).
RECORD UPDATE
  • Seeley set a new school record in the Steeplechase with a time of 13:36.78
  • She broke her own record of 13:43.45 set at the Delaware Invite this season.
UP NEXT
  • Kean returns to the Championships for Day Two tomorrow.
