Six School Records Broken as Women’s Track Finishes Fourth at ECAC Championships

WESTMINSTER, Md. (5/9/26) – Six school records were broken as the Kean University women's track & field team placed fourth with 70 points at the ECAC Championships hosted by McDaniel College on Saturday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Chaa-Nah-Yah Brathwaite, Sarah Knoetig, Sam Gonzalez, and Free Daley won gold in the 4x400 Relay (4:08.15)
Arianna Coords, Ariana Cadina, Daniella Esteves and Kathy Valle Reyes captured silver in the 4x800 Relay (10:37.54).
Alyssa Seeley also took home silver in the 3000M Steeplechase (13.27.81).
Daley captured bronze in the 400M (58.39).
Alina Chant also captured bronze in the 5000M (20.43.68).
Knoetig, Jadesola Olayinka, Jordan Criss and Brathwaite took third in the 4x100 Relay (50.60)

RECORD UPDATE

Free Daley set a new school record in the 400M with a time of 58.39 meters.
She broke the Demeka Pressley record of 59.90 from the NJAC Championship in 2007.
Kathy Valle Reyes set a new school record in the 1500M with a time of 5:19.01.
She broke her own record of 5:22.26 at the Cougar Showcase.
Alyssa Seeley set a new school record in the 3000M Steeplechase with a time of 13:27.81.
She broke her record of 13:36.78 set at the NJAC Championships last weekend.
Sarah Knoetig, Jadesola Olayinka, Jordan Criss and Chaa-Nah-Yah Brathwaite set a new school record in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 50.60.
They broke the school record of Knoetig, Ava Blount, Brathwaite and Olayinka set at the 2025 ECAC Championships (50.88).
Brathwaite, Knoetig, Gonzalez and Daley set a new school record in the 4x400 Relay with a time of 4:08.15.
They broke the school record of Coords, Gonzalez, Knoetig and Daley set at the NJAC Championships last weekend (4:11.18).
Arianna Coords, Ariana Cadina, Daniella Esteves and Kathy Valle Reyes set a new school record of 10:37.54 in the 4x800 Relay.
They broke the record of Knoetig, Reyes, Cadina, and Esteves set at the Ramapo Invite this season (10:55.70).
