Stoner Posts Hat-Trick as Field Hockey Defeats Drew in High Scoring Affair

MADISON, N.J. (9/5/26) – Ali Stoner finished with seven points on three goals and one assist in a 6-5 victory over Drew University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • Stoner recorded all seven points during a five goal first half for the Cougars.
  • Shannon Conroy opened the scoring in the second minute, converting a pass from Kelseigh Sargent.
  • Stoner capped the first half with three consecutive goals and added an assist on Joslin Cain's score to close out the opening stanza.
  • The Rangers broke Kean's scoring run with a penalty stroke goal in the 15th minute.
  • The Cougars held a commanding 5-1 lead into the break.
  • Drew opened the second half with three consecutive goals, including back-to-back scores from Ellie Kopec, cutting the Rangers' deficit to 5-4 late in the third quarter.
  • Conroy capped off the scoring for the afternoon with her second straight score to end the third quarter.
  • In the fourth, Stoner had a chance to extend the lead, but failed to convert on penalty stroke attempt in the 49th minute.
  • Drew tallied their final goal of the afternoon as Emma Kadubec found the back of the cage.
  • The Rangers were held without a shot for the final 11 minutes of play, helping Kean seal the victory.
