Men's Volleyball Signs New Recruit Through Team Impact

Union, N.J. (11/1/24) - The Kean University men's volleyball team announced their newest team member, signing Thomas through Team IMPACT.

"Thomas has united this team", stated head coach Bez Arslani." The players are delighted to see him and enjoy having him as a younger brother on the team. He is extraordinary in numerous ways and has a talent for bringing joy to everyone."

He was officially introduced in a press conference inside Harwood Arena. The newest Cougar will be participating in team activates, events and attending games.

Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.

Thomas is an energetic 7-year-old with a big heart and a love for sports and art. He's a dedicated swimmer, a spirited basketball player, and a budding football fan who always brings enthusiasm to each new activity. His creative side shines through in his love for art, where he finds endless ways to express himself.

"Having Thomas on this team serves as a reminder that volleyball is not our sole priority; it cultivates a sense of camaraderie where we can always depend on one another."
