PITMAN, N.J. (4/1/25) – Braelyn Wilson has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year as the Kean University women's swimming team earned 12 All-NJAC selections as announced by the conference office today.
Wilson earned a total of seven selections, including notching first team honorees in the 50 Free, 200 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay. The rookie earned second team honors in the 100 Free, 100 Back, 400 Free Relay and 400 Medley Relay. Wilson is the second Rookie of the Year selection, joining
Brianna Shaw (2020-21).
Individually, Wilson was joined by
Laney Fenton (500 Free),
Alisa Dovbnya (1650 Free),
Teagan Powell (100 Breast) and
Emma Bellars (200 IM). Fenton was the only selection on the Honorable Mention (200 Free).
The Cougars also collected honorees in the relay teams as well. The 200 Free Relay Team (Wilson,
Sydney Stemley, Fenton and Bellars) and the 200 Medley Relay Team (Wilson, Powell, Bellars and Fenton) were first team selections, The 400 Free Relay Team (Fenton, Stemley, Bellars and Wilson) along with the 400 Medley Relay Team (Wilson, Powell, Stemley and Bellars) were second team selections.
