MAHWAH, N.J. (3/28/26) – Two school records were broken as the Kean University women's track and field team competed in the Ramapo Invitational two-day event on Friday and Saturday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS  

• Sarah Knoetig won the 400M Hurdles.
• Sam Gonzalez placed fifth in the same event (400M Hurdles).
• Alina Chant finished sixth in the 10,000 M.
• Ruby Crowell placed seventh in the Javelin Throw.
• Kathy Valle Reyes, Ariana Cadina, Knoetig and Daniella Esteves notched a fourth-place finish in the 4x800 relay.

RECORDS UPDATE

• Alina Chant set a new school record in the 10,000 m with a time of 40:34.19.
• Chant broke Allison Breidenstein record of 48:23.84.
• Reyes, Cadina, Knoetig and Esteves set a new record in the 4x800 Relay with a time of 10:55.70.
• They broke a record of 13:01.73 set at the ECAC Championships in 2025.
